Volunteer Circles

A group of children and mentors smiling and laughing

A network of weekly volunteering groups for students:

  • Serve with other McMaster students at placements across Hamilton
  • Learn about and help address inner-city issues
  • Discuss your volunteer experiences
  • Make a significant difference where it is needed
  • Gain valuable experience

Each week your group facilitator helps you find your way to the placement and also facilitates discussion of your volunteer experiences for 20-30 min. at the end of your service experience.

How Do I Get Involved?

  1. See the list of Current Volunteer Openings and contact the facilitators of the Volunteer Circle you're interested in directly.
  2. The facilitators will send you some additional forms to complete and answer any questions you have, including when and where to meet the group and travel to the placement.
  3. Let your friends know – Volunteer Circles start this coming week, and we still need more volunteers!

For general questions or for more information, contact VolunteerCircles@mcmaster.ca.
