Reflection Circles are a safe space for connecting with other students and awakening to your authentic life through mindfulness practice, creative expression, and discussion. We create an atmosphere of respect, and confidentiality. You may speak or simply be present through listening. You are welcome to attend any week!

Did you know that there's a planetarium here at Mac? Interested in watching the stars and pondering our place in the universe?
Be amazed and inspired by the wonders of the universe. Underneath the glistening stars, find meaning and spirituality in science and its discoveries. Gaze at faraway planets and galaxies while reflecting on what it means to be alive and in our position in life right now.

Learn about Open Circle through hearing participants experiences and try a sample of our mindfulness circle activities. Engage in calming mindfulness exercises and guided group reflection on the role that we play in the grand cosmos. Connect with others who are asking similar questions.
Finding joy and regaining perspective
Wednesday, September 17, 3:00-4:00pm (with optional social at 4:30-5pm)
Connect with nature and try mindful reflective practices to find joy, practice gratitude, and learn tools for dealing with stress and gaining perspective. Enjoy a peaceful walk with others and find wonder in the little things, setting aside any stressors in your day. Dress for the weather.
What can I expect at a Reflection Circle?
- A judgement free, respectful, and confidential space where everyone is welcomed to share or pass
- Opening quotation to set the tone for the activity and reflection
- Introductions and brief, no-pressure icebreaker activity
- Check-in about how your week has been so far
- 15-20-minute practice that relates to a different theme each week
- Time for reflection and discussion
- Drop in with no commitment required (please arrive on time to honour the group’s process)
- You do not need to sign up or be part of Open Circle to attend a Reflection Circle

Open to undergraduate and graduate students
Mindfulness Circle
Bring awareness and calm into your day
Join us to learn about meditation and mindfulness. Each session includes a check-in about our experience of the past week, a guided meditation practice for 15-20 minutes, and opportunity to discuss any questions or insights. Each week explores a different mindfulness practice including breath awareness, guided imagery, artistic expression, and other activities that the group wishes to learn together. No experience necessary.

- Begins Sept. 9 with Planetarium Show & Meditation (special registration required for this date - Open Circle Event Registration)
- To attend, review our Screening Checklist If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend. Exception: if you were sick within the last 5 days, but your symptoms have improved for 2 days, you are welcome to attend if you wear a mask. If you’ve been exposed to others who are sick within the past 5 days, please wear a mask. (masks available)

Reconnect, Renew, and Revitalize
Slow down to connect and reflect with self, others, and nature. Experience movement, creative, and mindfulness practices to support personal discovery, authenticity, and living with intention. (Meeting outdoors, weather permitting)
